The Overtones Bring a Good Ol’ Fashioned Christmas to Venue Cymru, North Wales

The Overtones brought A Good Ol’ Fashioned Christmas to Venue Cymru, Llandudno, North Wales last night with their ‘A Christmas Party with The Overtones’ tour.

After years of their fans requesting a Christmas album from the group, Timmy, Mark, Lachie, Mike and Darren have produced a stunning arrangement of hits and new material.

Performing on the night songs from the album such as ‘White Christmas’, ‘Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let it Snow’ and ‘Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire’ plus their self penned ‘This Christmas’ they blended the evening with hits from previous albums such as ‘Pretty Woman’ and ‘Runaround Sue’.

This fantastic five piece, who all share a love for the doo-wop genre of the 1950’s from a time that the world had the likes of Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald The Platters, gave the North Wales audience a brilliant performance that had them dancing in the aisles and singing along to all the songs.

For their finale they sang Chris Rea’s classic Christmas hit ‘Driving Home For Christmas’. A self proclaimed first for a vocal harmony of the song that blew the crowd away.

The album Good Ol’ Fashioned Christmas by The Overtones is available now in shops and online and the group will be performing in Gateshead tonight (16th) followed by Margate on the 18th, Southampton on the 19th and finishing at the Greenwich Indigo at the O2 on Sunday 20th.
