THOUSANDS of people were at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, this weekend to join in the fun at Wales’ largest free arts and literature festival for children and young people.
Around 10,000 people attended take pART7 with more than 120 companies and artists coming from all over the UK with a range of workshops, drop-in sessions and performances.
Activities included making models of Shaun the Sheep and Gromit with the Oscar winning Aardman Animations, singing workshops with Only Boys Aloud choir, circus skills classes and theatrical make-up lessons.
S4C were there with live performances of their popular show, ‘Cyw’, whilst young dancers were able to take to the stage in the main auditorium for workshops with the internationally-renowned dance company, Rambert.
Sarah Ecob, general manager of Venue Cymru, said: “take pART7 proved to be another wonderful, fun-filled weekend. It’s inspiring to see so many young people enjoying being creative and learning such a range of new skills. It’s my favourite weekend of the year and I’m already looking forward to take pART8 in January 2017”
Venue Cymru would like to thank all the funders and sponsors that make this event possible, in particular the Arts Council of Wales, Conwy County Borough Council, Llandudno Town Council, Conwy Arts Trust, View Creative, Llandudno Bay Hotel and North Wales Holiday Cottages & Farmhouses.
